Creative Brain Week 2024: Singapore

A body map is a life-sized drawing of the body’s outline that reveals thoughts, emotions, physical sensations and memories through decorations such as marks, images, colours, words, sentences and symbols. Join this guided workshop devised by Dr Trudy Meehan (Lecturer, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, University of Medicine and Health Sciences) where participants map their embodied experience of the feeling of ‘love’ through the making of a body map.

On 1 October 2024, to celebrate the United Nation's International Day of Older Persons, The Creative Age brings together creative older people from around the world for a groundbreaking online performance.

This one-hour event showcases the creative talents of older performers from Wales to Brazil, New York to South Africa, and beyond, using spoken word, music and dance. The Creative Age challenges ageism by celebrating the voices and experiences of our global elders.

This free event is accessible worldwide with live transcription in over 30 languages.

The Creative Age is produced by Re-Live, an Arts in Health charity based in Wales, working with underrepresented communities to explore their life stories through the arts.

The performance is co-created with an international team of Atlantic Fellows from the Global Brain Health Institute.

Discover Hold Me Now, an immersive caregiving exhibition developed by Montfort Care in collaboration with Drama Box, that delves into the depths of care work through innovative art and interactive experiences. Engage with creative prompts designed to reflect on your own caregiving experiences.

The showcase features a thought-provoking short film by Tan Wei Ting and an inventive reimagining of walking sticks by anGie seah, crafted with 20 seniors from Montfort Care.

Led by Kok Heng Leun, Cultural Medallion recipient and founder of Drama Box, this exhibition offers a unique opportunity to explore new perspectives on caregiving and embrace a journey of compassion and creativity.
