About the School
New literacy in thinking, making and communicating through design.
At the School of Design Communication, students are nurtured to become a 21st-century designer—attuned to evolving industry contexts and able to think and work fluidly across disciplines. Students learn to push the boundaries of their design practice, engage critically with contemporary visual culture and develop multidisciplinary conceptual thinking skills.
The School strikes a purposeful balance between academic theory and studio-based exploration. This blend hones both intellectual rigour and creative fluency, preparing students to navigate a design landscape shaped by culture, history and identity.
Curriculum and pedagogy are grounded in real-world relevance. Through reflection, analysis and visual communication, students will be empowered to shape new narratives and respond to emerging needs in the creative and professional sectors.
Our graduates go on to work across a wide spectrum of roles in the industry. They will also be equipped to push the field forward, designing systems, services and user experiences that position design as a powerful tool for behavioural change in society.
