LASALLE’s BA (Hons) programmes are grounded in interdisciplinary exploration and studio practice. Over three years, you will deepen your critical thinking, technical proficiency and creative vision—preparing you to for a career in the creative industries. You will graduate with a degree conferred by the University of the Arts Singapore.

* Singapore PRs and International students who choose to take up the Tuition Grant (TG) will need to make an online application and then sign the TG Deed with the Government of Singapore. A non-refundable application fee (inclusive of GST*) is chargeable per application. Application is only complete upon receipt of your application fee and all necessary documents. Please ensure your application fee is paid and documents are uploaded. LASALLE reserves the right to withdraw the applicant if the application fee remains unpaid and documents are not received by the due date.

Basic materials for learning are provided by the College.

As a developing artist, you are required to have certain items that are personal to you and cannot be shared. Such items include books, dance shoes, rehearsal clothes, safety boots, portable musical instruments, paints, canvas, basic tools, design software, cameras, etc., that will support you through your three-year learning journey. The College does not encourage the purchase of extravagant or costly materials or equipment. Our lecturers can provide you with affordable suggestions.

You are also encouraged to have your own laptop for education. If you do not own one, computer labs are available on campus with requisite software for you to undertake your work.

There may be opportunities for you to undertake extra-curricular study trips to enhance your overall learning. Trips are not compulsory and may incur additional costs.

Medical Insurance Scheme

All full-time students of LASALLE are required to be covered under the Medical Insurance Scheme (MIS). The annual coverage of S$20,000 includes school-related activities throughout the programme duration.

The current premium rate is $29.98 (inclusive of 9% GST) payable each semester. This premium rate is subject to change based on the prevailing premiums charged by the insurer and prevailing GST rate.

In recognition of outstanding academic excellence, leadership potential, and a passion for creativity and innovation, LASALLE offers a variety of scholarships to new and current students.

Application dates for scholarships will be reflected in the various scholarship pages. Other externally sponsored scholarships are also available to students. Enquiries and applications may be directed to the respective organisations.

A range of financial assistance schemes, grants and loans are made available to help meet a portion of the educational expenses of students.

Students who are Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents and on Tuition Grant are eligible to apply for Tuition Fee Loan of up to 90% (degree) or 75% (diploma) of the programme fees. Application opens in October each year. Please contact the Division of Finance (finance@lasalle.edu.sg) for more details.

There is no direct transfer arrangement with other universities. If you wish to transfer to another university, you need to apply there and meet their admission requirements.

At the end of your three-year study, you will be awarded a BA (Hons) degree.

Students who commenced their studies in LASALLE College of the Arts before August 2024 will be graduating with a degree conferred by Goldsmiths, University of London. Students who commence their studies in LASALLE from August 2024 onwards will be graduating with a degree conferred by the University of the Arts Singapore (UAS).

UAS is a private university formed by an alliance between LASALLE College of the Arts and the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. It is supported by the government, which will continue to provide funding for subsidised Diploma and BA (Hons) students, as is currently the case at LASALLE. UAS will validate, confer and award degrees in respect to the programmes offered by LASALLE. It will also support both arts institutions in the provision of a shared UAS experience which includes a common curriculum. All academic programmes will continue to be developed, designed and delivered by LASALLE at its McNally and Winstedt Campuses.

All academic lessons and learning will continue to be delivered at LASALLE’s existing McNally and Winstedt campuses. Meanwhile, UAS Ltd will offer common curriculum modules from the National Design Centre which is in close proximity to LASALLE.

The College will notify the student within three (3) working days upon knowledge of any of the following:

  1. It does not commence the programme on the programme commencement date.
  2. It terminates the programme before the programme commencement date.
  3. It does not complete the programme by the programme completion date.
  4. It terminates the programme before the programme completion date.
  5. The student, when given a conditional offer, failed to meet the programme entry requirement.
  6. The Student's Pass application is rejected by Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA).

The student should be informed in writing of alternative study arrangements (if any), and also be entitled to a refund of the entire programme fees and miscellaneous fees already paid should the student decide to withdraw, within seven (7) working days of the above notice.

If the student withdraws from the programme for any reason other than those stated above, the College will, within seven (7) working days of receiving the student's written notice of withdrawal, refund to the student an amount based on the table in the refund table.

The College will provide the student with a cooling-off period of seven (7) working days after the date that the agreement has been signed by both parties. The student will be refunded the highest percentage (stated in refund table) of the fees already paid if the student submits a written notice of withdrawal to the College within the cooling-off period, regardless of whether the student has started the course or not.

Programme withdrawal/transfer

A new student who wishes to withdraw from the programme of study after an acceptance of offer but before programme commencement is required to notify the College via an email indicating his/her intention to withdraw to the Admissions Office. Should the notice of withdrawal fall within the cooling-off period of seven working days from signing the student contract, the Maximum Refund as stipulated in the contract applies. Otherwise, the College's refund policy will apply.

A student who withdraws after programme commencement is required to submit relevant withdrawal forms and seek approval from the College in accordance with the College's withdrawal procedures (details are available on the College's Learning Portal). For an international student, the Student Pass will be cancelled upon approval. Any refunds will be processed in accordance with the College's refund policy.

Transferring from a programme to another is deemed as a withdrawal from the current course.

A new student who has accepted an offer in a programme but wishes to change programme prior to the programme commencement date is required to notify the College and re-apply for admission into the new programme.

Student complaint resolution

The College has an established student complaint policy and procedure to handle complaints from students. Every reasonable effort will be made to deal promptly and efficiently with all complaints, to investigate them thoroughly and objectively and to seek to resolve them satisfactorily.
