This exhibition celebrates the fourth iteration of a sustained collaborative online digital media and art project between LASALLE’s Diploma in Fine Arts programme and the Visual Arts programme in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Sabanci University in Türkiye. 

This signature project encourages student artists to engage collectively in critical analysis, reflection and research to investigate social, cultural, historical and environmental issues in contemporary artistic practices.

After identifying topics of mutual interest under the guidance of faculty supervisors from both universities, students from both locations co-produce artworks that tour from Southeast Europe and Southwest Asia to the tropics.

Peek into students’ artistic journeys in the Diploma in Fine Arts programme throughtheir process journals. This selection of meticulously maintained and highly inventive 3D journals not only make each student’s creative process tangible but also stand, united and unique,as a collection of soft sculptures that balance introspection with adventure.

Project Space

LASALLE’s Year 1 BA (Hons) Fine Arts cohort comprises a kaleidoscope of diverse students, each unique and distinct. Despite their differences, they have managed to grow and bond – their individual practices merging and melding to influence each other in novel ways.
This exhibition features unconventional explorations of mixed media, explorative visual effects and conceptual depth. The works capture the tenacity of the students’ spirit, creative fervour of their first semester and their burning desire to create and destroy – as all artists do.

The BA (Hons) Art Histories and Curatorial Practices: Asia and the World programme combines the study of translocal cultural production with a studio sensibility that charts new ways of knowing: of the past, in the present and towards a better, co-created future.
