The Art Scene
In the Mediacorp documentary ‘The Art Scene’, animation lecturer Ang Qing Sheng weighs in on the current cohort of animation storytellers. He talks about how Animation Art students like Class of 2021’s Calleen Koh draw from their own lived experiences to push the boundaries of storytelling.
‘Today we have ideas that are a lot more bold, ideas that are more reflective of students’ own identities. Students want to tell stories more from their own perspective. They don’t shy away from how they live, how they speak, how they do things.’
