Student experience
Student life at LASALLE goes beyond the classroom—it is a journey of excellence, self-discovery, creative growth, collaboration and community engagements. We believe in providing a holistic and enriching student experience. By offering a comprehensive experience, LASALLE ensures its students are critical thinkers who are also well-prepared to contribute to the global arts scene as arts and cultural leaders. Student leadership and development are integral components of the overall student experience. The opportunities for student leadership are diverse and inclusive, nurturing qualities such as collaboration, courage, agility, responsibility, communication and personal growth. LASALLE’s membership with the International Association of La Salle Universities (IALU)– a network of more than 60 Lasallian universities around the world–opens doors for our students to engage with peers globally through the annual overseas IALU Summer Leadership Programme. Through various programmes, opportunities and resources, LASALLE facilitates the development of students to become the next generation of leaders who will shape the future of the arts and make a meaningful impact in their communities.

Student leadership and development
The intersection between the arts and well-being is a significant one, as we recognise that mental and physical well-being are essential for academic and personal success. At LASALLE, a number of initiatives have been introduced to raise awareness about mental health and empower students with information, resources and a supportive environment. The College offers counselling services and mental well-being workshops to help students build resilience and navigate challenges. It also organises a variety of engaging activities on- and off-campus, in addition to collaborative initiatives with external agencies. We strive to build an inclusive learning environment for students with special education needs. Students should inform the College of any special needs or required assistance as early as possible during admission. This allows us to arrange appropriate learning support, creating a conducive and enriching learning environment. For further queries, please email us at studentcare@lasalle.edu.sg. The College offers one-to-one socio-emotional counselling and support for students, providing a safe space for open sharing. All information shared during the counselling sessions remains confidential. However, in exceptional cases where the student’s safety and well-being, or that of others, is at risk, disclosure is necessary. Our team of professional counsellors is available at McNally Campus by appointment. Bookings can be made online via the Learning Portal, studentcare@lasalle.edu.sg or by calling 6496 5118.
