This exhibition is a culmination of Tropical Lab+, a five-day camp organised by LASALLE to bring about an immersive art learning experience for students from Nanyang Polytechnic and School of the Arts Singapore (SOTA). The exhibition serves as a representation of the participants’ collective artistic voice and journey.
Over the course of the camp, student participants will be challenged with the prospect of self-directed artistic experimentation and research, as well as creating art outside of their comfort zones beyond the classroom. Their artistic practices will be enriched and refined through critical discourse and the exchange of perspectives, made possible by the promise of collaborative learning alongside like-minded peers, esteemed arts practitioners and industry professionals.
