In The Starlit Woods features selected works from Year 2 Diploma in Fine Arts students.
The exhibition title references a liminal space where all you need to know is that you don’t know anything. It calls on the student artists to find what’s inside them—whether it is painting, music, sculpting, poetry or any art practice—to experience becoming, and to be completely engaged in the here and now.
The artworks are the outcome of the module covering craft techniques, material studies and technologies, which requires students to reuse and recycle various everyday materials. Students select, explore, manipulate and craft materials such as metal, plastic and wood through found objects using different techniques and approaches.
