Event details

Explore the influence of diasporic cultures on fashion through the lens of LASALLE students’ heritage at this cross-disciplinary exhibition. Inspired by the Museum at FIT’s “Africa’s Fashion Diaspora” exhibition, students from BA (Hons) Fashion Design and Textiles, BA (Hons) Fashion Media and Industries, and BA (Hons) Fine Arts have developed original textiles, garments, eyewear, visuals and artworks. Witness their creative interpretations of sub-themes like “Mothers and Motherlands” and “Monumental Cloth.”

The showcase also features works by FIT fashion students who engaged in creative exchanges with LASALLE fashion students. Discover fashion’s powerful potential to drive positive change as creatives draw from our collective past to guide our future.
