Rohai is a lecturer at LASALLE College of the Arts and Level Coordinator for the Diploma in Creative Direction for Fashion programme. A journalist by training, he spent over a decade in publishing, including four and a half years as a fashion and lifestyle journalist with The Straits Times and its weekly supplement Urban. His writing has appeared in both international and regional titles including Women's Wear Daily, Prestige, Esquire, Style, Her World, ELLE Singapore and Harper’s BAZAAR Singapore.

He has reported from fashion weeks in New York, London and Paris, and interviewed designers and cultural figures such as Karl Lagerfeld, Victoria Beckham, Carolina Herrera and David Beckham.

His academic and creative practice focuses on cultural reclamation and visual storytelling in fashion, with a particular interest in decolonisation, digital narratives and Malay identity in Singapore.

Previously, he was a digital content consultant at THE FIFTH COLLECTION, a vintage luxury fashion platform, where he advised on social media strategy and storytelling.
