LASALLE's McNally Campus is a living sculpture and a contemporary architectural masterpiece that serves as a major landmark within the cityscape. It invites visitors to enjoy and explore the grounds and witness the creation of art.

Conceptualised and designed by Singapore-based architectural firm RSP Architects, the campus design represented Singapore in the architectural section of the Venice Biennale in 2004 and won three international architectural awards: PUSH Award 2009, Singapore Institute of Architects, Building of the Year Award 2008, 9th Singapore Institute of Architect’s Design Awards and President’s Design Award 2008.

Architecture

With its glass façade and gateless walls, the McNally Campus is an iconic paragon in Singapore’s arts district.

Inspired by geological formations, six organically shaped buildings—each seven storeys high—anchor the campus, their contours shaped like lava flows carving through valleys and canyons. These inroads and alleyways create natural passages that mirror the creative energy flowing between students and faculty.

The structure is lined with stone and aluminium on the outside, while facets of glass line the interiors, reflecting both light and the dynamic interplay of disciplines within. Linked by an integrated atrium, sky bridges and an innovative roof structure that unifies the entire site, the campus embodies LASALLE’s spirit of openness and interdisciplinary exchange—a space where contemporary arts and design are in constant evolution.
