Dr Woon Tien Wei

Dr Woon Tien Wei is an artist and curator based in Singapore. He received his education at Goldsmiths College in London and completed his Doctoral of Creative Arts at Curtin University in 2012. His doctoral research focused on artistic strategies in Singapore's Renaissance period.
Woon has been an active figure in Singapore's artistic community for many years, having served as the president of The Artists Village in 2001, co-artistic director of The Substation in 2020 and co-founded collectives like Danger Museum, tsunamii.net and p-10.
Woon's artistic practice is based on collaboration and interaction with other individuals, organisations, and collectives. He is passionate about social and cultural issues, and his work frequently addresses land contestation, urban legends and social movements.
Woon hopes to create a more interconnected and engaged community through his collaborations with the collective Post-Museum and other groups.
